Old and Young share stories to keep history alive!

On Wednesday, 8 November the new ‘Heritage Holders’ 2017 were honored in the Amsterdam Museum. The elderly (‘Heritage Givers’), officially gave their stories to the youngsters. Several Dutch officials joined the ceremony. The young Heritage Holders will retell the personal stories of the Dutch colonial past, the Second World War and the immigration in the ’60’s/70’s.

TOY for Inclusion at the ISSA Conference 2017 in Ghent

Giulia Cortellesi (ICDI) and Francesca Petrucci (Associazione 21 Luglio) participated in the ISSA Conference in Ghent (Belgium), the theme of which was “Local Responses, Global Advances: Towards Competent Early Childhood Systems”. They presented the TOY for Inclusion approach to an audience of early childhood education and care researchers, practitioners and policy makers from more than 60 countries.  >> Read more

Last week the seven organisations involved in the TOY-PLUS project had an eventful meeting in Athens. This project, which began almost a year ago is being coordinated by ICDI and is being funded by the European Commission (Erasmus Plus Programme). The Athens meeting was hosted by Hellenic Open University, the Greek partner in TOY-PLUS. >> Read more
