TOY is an official supporter of the Global Intergenerational Week

February 10, 2022 |

The TOY Project is delighted to be an official supporter of the Global Intergenerational Week, which takes place from Monday 25th April to Sunday 1st May 2022. The aim of the week is to inspire people around the world to start or restart intergenerational connections. This is a global event and individuals or organisations in any country can register to become a supporter. Here is a message from the team coordinating the week:

‘Join our campaign to raise awareness around intergenerational practice and use the hashtag #IntergenerationalWeek online to help us spread the word. The best way to do this is by becoming our supporter.  You can be based anywhere and be a supporter of the campaign. Fill in your details and register as a supporter on the Global Intergenerational Week website today.

Once you have done this we encourage you to bring together people of different ages during the week. This can be a COVID safe face to face event or a digital event, you can share intergenerational ideas or stories, or it can be simply making a stand against ageism. Please visit the campaign website to see the themes that will take place during each day. You can also use our handy social media pack and graphics during the week.

Our supporters will inspire individuals, volunteers, practitioners, and organisations across the globe to be creative, inspirational, and bold in furthering and creating new intergenerational connections and we would love it if you could help us make the first Global Intergenerational Week a success’.

TOY will be sharing more information about the Global Intergenerational Week events on our social media, in our newsletter and during the upcoming TOY Online Course.
